Healthy Snacks and Lunches
We invite
you to support your child to participate in our healthy nutrition goal by
providing a piece of fruit or vegetable each day for snack time and in their
lunches. With a focus on our Student
Purpose Statement, ‘I come to
Taradale School to learn’, parents are also requested to please not
send treats for their children’s birthdays. It is important to dedicate our
instructional time to learning.
Examples snack or lunch foods that are not appropriate are:
Research has shown that drinking
water and eating fruits and vegetables is essential for good health and can
help concentration throughout the day.

- Chips
- Chocolate bars
- Candy
- Pop
- Energy drinks
